RAIS 600:3 integrated in Architectural Surroundings

In the heart of North Zealand, near Tisvilde, Mette and Mikkel have built their dream home, a newly constructed architectural masterpiece drawn by their own hands. The house is a tribute to clean lines and uncompromising choice of materials, where nothing is left to chance. From the first finished sketch to the last mounted element, the home reflects the family’s dedication to quality and their unique sense of design.

When you roll into the driveway, your eye meets a unique house clad with cedar wood, which over time will develop a beautiful gray patina that blends in with the surrounding nature. Inside, the wood theme continues with majestic columns and rafters of Douglas fir, cut and sawed in one piece, without any visible marks – testifying to the extreme precision and high demands the family has placed on their suppliers. You almost feel that you are stepping on board a ship when you enter the living and kitchen area of the house, where a large round window in the gable underlines the maritime inspiration and gives the room an unforgettable atmosphere.

The design is simple and elegant, but with thoughtful details that give the home its soul. The centerpiece of the living room is the stylish RAIS 600:3 fireplace insert, clad with marble to add a raw and exclusive edge. The brass details on the floor plate, sink and faucets add a warm glow that only materials with patina can give. Mikkel, who is both a food and interior aficionado, insisted on a real fireplace with real fire and wood – “because it is precisely the live fire that creates the soul in the house.”

The black, minimalist fireplace insert from RAIS with glass on three sides allows you to enjoy the flames from any angle in the room. The fireplace is a perfect extension of the architectural lines of the house and adds a subtle elegance that binds the entire home together.

Mette’s sense of interior design is reflected in the soulful atmosphere of the house, where Moroccan carpets, ceramics and lamps bring warmth and texture to the clean wooden surfaces. Her work with interior design and import of unique products from Morocco adds a global dimension to the home, elegantly combining the Nordic with the exotic.

This home is more than just a house. It is a complete vision of how design, materials and personality can be united in a harmonious whole. A home where every detail tells a story and where the family has created an abode that is not only beautiful to behold, but also genuinely pleasant to be in.
